Violet Jasper and As Much Cilantro as My Heart Desires

Last weekend I attended Tomatomania at my new favorite place, and picked up a plant called Violet Jasper. I was going to get a few other varieties as well, but the girlfriend whom I was with kept insisting that one tomato plant will make oodles, more than I need. I'll  let you know...

I also picked up a cilantro starter because I do love cilantro. My significant other accuses me of eating "cilantro salad." (Hey, there was a taco under there somewhere!)

Both new babies were plunked into some Happy Frog, which one of my patients highly recommended to me. Also sewn were the seeds for some Genovese basil, baby lettuces, and lovage (or Chinese celery, this latter inspired by Deborah Madison, who seems to call for it in so many of her recipes.) Will they sprout? Stay tuned...
