Some Acid-producing Foods versus Alkaline-producing Foods

 

You will notice that how the body reacts to certain foods determines their classification. Some foods that are acidic (such as lemons) actually help promote an alkaline state in the body.

Acidic Foods (limit these)
red meats
dairy
sugar
flour
refined carbohydrates
alcohol, especially beer
eggs, especially yolks
processed soy products
coffee

Alkaline Foods (eat these instead)
dark leafy greens
cruciferous vegetables
tomatoes
lemons
limes
beets
lentils
edamame
berries and cherries
apples
ginger
turmeric
rosemary
garlic
tea--green and oolong
