Skin Care Gift Baskets for Educators: First Quarter Winner Announcement!
The providers at Gilchrist Dermatology strive to be not only health care professionals but also to be educators of their patients and their community. Dr. Gilchrist, Deborah, Lindsay, and Tammy believe that their former and present teachers are the foundation of the professional care they are able to provide daily. They believe we are all each other's teachers and students. In honor of this, Gilchrist Aesthetic and Medical Dermatology donates a gift basket of skin care products quarterly to an educator in our community. You can visit here to nominate your favorite teacher or principal. All schools are welcome!
Congratulations to Renee Mone of La Costa Meadows Elementary School!
Renee is the winner of our basket for the first quarter of 2013. "A single mom with 3 daughters, Renee is an amazing teacher - not only in the classroom, but outside as well. In October, she organized LCM's 1st annual Locks of Love event, where over 20 students, staff and community members donated their hair. It is one thing to tell our children about the importance of doing - but Ms. Mone teaches that with her own actions. She is a very well respected teacher - and loved by her students (and parents!) alike. She definitely deserves a little pampering!"
Congratulations to you Renee, and we hope you enjoy your basket of Skinceuticals, Neocutis, Neutrogena, Eucerin, and Chocolove goodies!
Kudos also to our other amazing nominees.
Jeanne Luna of Sacred Heart Parish School: "Mrs. Luna is a 1st grade teacher and vice principal at Sacred Heart Parish School in Coronado. She strives to provide the best education possible for our children, encourages them to do their best everyday, and is a wonderful example of caring and giving freely, which is what our children do best! I would love to let her know it is recognized and appreciated. Thank you!"
Jodi Greenburger of Park Dale Lane Elementary: "Where do I begin? Mrs Greenburger is new to our school this year. Since becoming our principal she has transformed our already wonderful community into an amazing school. She has done so many things to motivate the kids to learn and love to learn. She has had many reading challenges that if the kids met the goal she would do crazy stunts. Here are a few: 1. She spent the day on the roof in a sumo wrestler costume. 2 She ate a meal worm. 3 She was turned into a human ice cream. 4. She kissed a real pot belly pig. Not only is she willing to do silly things so the children will read, but she memorized each and every child's name in our school of 580 students by our first break. She is motivating and inspiring. She is making every student get to the next level of their ability and makes everyone love being at our school. Parents, students and teachers are all so happy and love the things she has done for our school. I can't say enough of how much she touches all of the students at Park Dale Lane."
