New Product: Shade Factor

I've written in the past about how vitamin B3 (niacinamide) has been proven to decrease skin cancer occurrence by 23% and about how the Polypodium fern provides a potent antioxidant to prevent UV radiation damage.

Now both supplements are available together in one capsule, branded "Shade Factor" by the company Life Extension. I take one a day for daily prevention but bump it up to 2 capsules twice a day for expected sun exposure such as a long hike, a camping trip, or a vacation.

Hello, I just now found your site! I can not wait until I can finally come in. This seems to be just what I am looking for. Your office, your staff, your commitment to charities, the world could use a bit more of that from doctors. Thank you, Lori

Well, I am most certainly going to need this for myself and my hubby. We are both very, very, fair skinned. The Chemical sunscreens are not at all healthy for your skin. It absorbs into the epidermis. It then causes a heat exchange type reaction to occur by heating up your skin. This is exactly why you may feel very hot after the Chemical sunscreens are applied and you are just sitting in the Sun thinking you have the best protection on. You need nano particles of Zinc Oxide instead. It can be hard to find. I will need to find the name of the product I use and let the doctor know so she can offer this to her clients, if she does not already. I have not yet been to this office, but will be as soon as I can!
