How to toast nuts
Toasting nuts can enhance their taste and make them easier to digest. You can use a conventional oven or a toaster oven. Preheat the oven to 350° and place the nuts in a single layer on a dry baking sheet. Bake them for 5-10 minutes, stirring a few times, until they become crisp and brown and you can smell them. Watch them very carefully, and don't walk away. They go from toasted to burnt very easily! The nuts become even more crisp as they cool, so don't chop them until they've cooled completely.
