Everything listed under: smokers lines around mouth

  • Belotero

Belotero is a filler made by the company Merz, which also makes Radiesse, Xeomin, and Asclera. Belotero is used to fill fine lines and hollows in the face. It is very soft and completely clear, meaning that it can be placed very shallowly in the skin without being seen or felt afterward.

Belotero is an ideal filler for the under eye area, fine lines around the mouth (so called "smoker's" lines), and other fine lines in the face.

  • The Polish Peel

The Polish Peel™ is my signature peel, a combination of alpha and beta hydroxy acids (usually 34% acid total but customized to each patient) designed to treat fine lines and enlarged pores. The Polish Peel also treats active acne quite well. You can see results with  just one treatment, but committing to a series of peels every 2 weeks for 6-8 peels total (over 3-4 months) gives the very best effect.

The alpha hydroxy acids are capable of penetrating to the dermis (the second layer of the skin), where they promote collagen formation over time, leading to firmer, more elastic, smoother skin.

You can expect pink-ness and some sloughing. It is okay to wear make-up during the peeling process so that you can go about your daily life. In fact, I perform a Polish Peel™ or a Bright Peel™ on myself every 3 months and I work during the entire process. One of my secrets is to perform my peel on a Wednesday evening. You look normal for about 48 hours after a chemical peel, and you won't start to peel until Friday evening. Most of the sloughing occurs over the weekend, then you're back to work on Monday with just a bit of make-up.

One of the most important things about having a chemical peel is that you ***must avoid the sun.*** If you get any sun on that brand new, baby skin, you risk having brown blotches form. A large hat and mineral-based SPF are must haves.
