Back to school: Consider physical education

Did you know that fewer than one third of high school students attend gym classes every day at school? According to the CDC, only 27% of young people get the 60 minutes of daily exercise that health experts recommend.

With 33% of our children and teens in the US overweight or obese, consider this back to school transition a good time to support your children's physical education. You can make it fun! Try dancing, hiking, racing on the beach, martial arts, or yoga.
